Recipe and Directions
Ingredients:
- 1 cup birdseed
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1 packet of unflavored gelatin
- Cookie cutters
- String or twine for hanging
- ParchParchment Paper Sheets
- Straws

- In a small saucepan, combine the corn syrup and unflavored gelatin over low heat. Stir continuously until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the mixture becomes smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, add the birdseed.
- Pour the warm gelatin mixture over the birdseed and stir until all the birdseed is evenly coated and sticky.
- Place a cookie cutter on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spoon the birdseed mixture into the cookie cutter, pressing it down firmly and ensuring it fills the shape completely.
- Use a straw to poke a hole near the top of the ornament for hanging.
- Gently remove the cookie cutter, leaving the birdseed mixture in place.
